Pinpoint Test AK: The Headlamps On Warning Chime Is Inoperative
- AK1 CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Unbuckle the driver safety belt.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
- Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
- Yes : GO to AK2.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) .
- AK2 CHECK THE INTERIOR LAMPS OPERATION
- Open and close the driver door.
- Observe the interior lamps.
- Do the interior lamps operate correctly from the driver door?
- Yes : GO to AK3.
- No : REFER to INTERIOR LIGHTING .
- AK3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U0140:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AX .
For all other DTCs, REFER to DTC Chart - IPC .
- No : GO to AK4.
- AK4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded BCM DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : INSTALL a new BCM. REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
