Door Ajar Warning Chime

The door ajar warning chime warns that a door is ajar. The IPC receives the driver door, passenger door, driver rear door, passenger rear door ajar, liftgate/luggage compartment and hood ajar status from the BCM. When a door, liftgate-luggage compartment or hood becomes ajar while the ignition is in RUN with vehicle speed greater than 3 kmh (1.9 mph), the IPC turns on the appropriate door ajar warning message and sounds a repetitive chime until the door, liftgate/luggage compartment or hood is closed.
