Pinpoint Test G: There Is An "Active Park Assist Fault" Message In The CENTERSTACK Infotainment Display

  1. G1 CHECK FOR PAM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform PAM self-test.
    • Are any PAM DTCs recorded? 
  2. G2 CHECK FOR PSCM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform PSCM self-test.
    • Are any PSCM DTCs recorded? 
  3. G3 CHECK FOR SASM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform SASM self-test.
    • Are any SASM DTCs recorded? 
  4. G4 CHECK FOR ABS MODULE DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform ABS module self-test.
    • Are any ABS module DTCs recorded? 
  5. G5 CHECK FOR PCM DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform PCM self-test.
    • Are any PCM DTCs recorded? 
  6. G6 CHECK FOR IPC DTCs 
    • Using a scan tool, perform IPC self-test.
    • Are any IPC DTCs recorded? 
  7. G7 CHECK FOR CORRECT PAM OPERATION 
    • Disconnect and inspect all the PAM connectors.
    • Repair:
      • corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
      • damaged pins - install new terminals/pins
      • pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
    • Reconnect the PAM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
    • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
    • Is the concern still present? 
    • Yes  : CHECK OASIS for any applicable TSBs. If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no TSBs address this concern, INSTALL a new PAM. REFER to PARKING AID - AUDIBLE .
    • No  : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
