Pinpoint Test Aw: DTC U0131:00
- AW1 VERIFY THE CUSTOMER CONCERN
- Ignition ON.
- Verify that there is an observable symptom present.
- Is an observable symptom present?
- Yes : GO to AW2.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
- AW2 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
- Using a scan tool, perform a network test.
- Does the PSCM pass the network test?
- Yes : GO to AW3.
- No : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK , The PSCM Does Not Respond To The Scan Tool.
- AW3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE BCM SELF-TEST
- Ignition ON.
- Using a scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : GO to AW4.
- AW4 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Using a scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes
: For DTC U0140:00, GO to PINPOINT TEST AX .
For DTC U3006:16, GO to PINPOINT TEST BI .
For DTC U3006:17, GO to PINPOINT TEST BJ .
- No : GO to AW5.
- AW5 RECHECK THE IPC DTCs NOTE: If new modules were installed prior to the DTC being set, the module configuration may be incorrectly set during the Programmable Module Installation (PMI) or the PMI may not have been carried out.
- Using a scan tool, clear the DTCs.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Repeat the IPC self-test.
- Is DTC U0131:00 still present?
- Yes : REFER to the BCM DTC Chart in MULTIFUNCTION ELECTRONIC MODULES .
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
