Power Transfer Unit (PTU): Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. Remove the intermediate shaft. Refer to FRONT DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .
  3. Index-mark the driveshaft. Marker. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.

  4. Remove the exhaust flexible pipe and the RH catalytic converter. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
