SYMPTOMS DESCRIPTIONS

No communication with the Front Lighting Control Module (FLM)	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors FLM	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
All dimmable illumination does not dim	FLM	VERIFY the operation of the headlamps. If the headlamps operate correctly, INSTALL a new FLM . REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING . TEST the system for normal operation. If the headlamps do not operate correctly, REFER to EXTERIOR LIGHTING to diagnosis the headlamp system.
All dimmable non-networked illumination is inoperative	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors Body Control Module (BCM)	GO to PINPOINT TEST A .
All dimmable non-networked illumination is always on	Wiring, terminals or connectors BCM	GO to PINPOINT TEST B .
The steering wheel switch(es) illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Steering wheel switch(es) Steering wheel harness Clockspring	GO to PINPOINT TEST C .
One or more switch or component illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Illuminated switch Illuminated component	GO to PINPOINT TEST D .
The window control switch illumination is inoperative	Wiring, terminals or connectors Window control switch	For MKX, GO to PINPOINT TEST D . For Edge, CHECK the operation of the power windows. If the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch. REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS . TEST the system for normal operation. If the power windows do not operate correctly, REFER to GLASS, FRAMES AND MECHANISMS .
The Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	IPC	CARRY OUT the network test. If the scan tool responds with no communication with the IPC , REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK . If the scan tool communicates with the IPC , INSTALL a new IPC . REFER to INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES . TEST the system for normal operation.
The Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FCIM	INSTALL a new Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM). REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS . TEST the system for normal operation.
The Front Control/Display Interface Module (FCDIM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FCDIM	CHECK for normal operation of the audio system. If the audio system operates correctly, INSTALL a new FCDIM. REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS . TEST the system for normal operation. If the audio system does not operate correctly, REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS to diagnose the audio system does not operate correctly from the FCDIM . TEST the system for normal operation.
The Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) illumination is inoperative/does not dim	FDIM	CHECK for normal operation of the audio system. If the audio system operates correctly, INSTALL a new FDIM . REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS . TEST the system for normal operation. If the audio system does not operate correctly, REFER to INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEMS to diagnose the audio system does not operate correctly from the FDIM . TEST the system for normal operation.
