Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  2. Visual check. Apply the specified lubricant to the specified component.

    Material: Motorcraft® MERCON® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-10-QLVC.

    1. Seal (7D258)
    2. Backing ring (7J324)
      • Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  8. On both sides.
    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

  12. Remove or install a cable tie.

  15. Install the battery. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  16. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
  17. Install the air cleaner. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
  18. Install the front bumper cover. Refer to BUMPERS .
  19. Check the transmission fluid level and add transmission fluid as necessary.
