Transmission Fluid Cooler - Warmer: Installation

    • Tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).

  3. Inspect the rear transmission fluid cooler tube backing rings and seals for damage and install new backing rings or seals if necessary. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler tube seals with clean transmission fluid and install the backing rings and seals on the rear transmission fluid cooler tube.
    1. Seal (7D258)
    2. Backing ring (7J324)

    • Tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

  5. Inspect the rear transmission fluid cooler tube assembly backing rings and seals for damage and install new backing rings or seals if necessary. Lubricate the transmission fluid cooler tube assembly seals with clean transmission fluid and install the backing rings and seals on the rear transmission fluid cooler tube assembly.
    1. Seal (7D258)

  7. Install a new bolt.
    • Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

    • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

  11. Install the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
  12. Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
  13. Install the air cleaner. Refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
  14. Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  15. Fill the transmission with fluid and verify correct operation. Refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION - 6F35 .
