Radiator - 2.0L GTDI: Removal

  1. Remove the Charge Air Cooler (CAC). For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
  2. Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to BUMPERS .
  3. Remove the upper radiator air deflector.

  4. Disconnect the LH front impact severity sensor electrical connector and detach the 2 wiring harness retainers.

  5. Remove the 2 transmission fluid cooler tube secondary latches.

  6. Using the Transmission Cooler Line Disconnect Tool, disconnect the upper transmission fluid cooler tube from the radiator.

  7. Using the Transmission Cooler Line Disconnect Tool, disconnect the lower transmission fluid cooler tube from the radiator.

  8. Release the clamp and disconnect the degas bottle-to-radiator hose from the radiator.

  9. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.

  10. Remove the A/C compressor-to-condenser line bracket bolt.

  11. Remove the A/C condenser-to-evaporator bracket bolt.

  12. Remove the 2 bolts and the 2 radiator brackets.

  13. Detach the A/C line retainer from the radiator.

  14. Remove the 4 A/C condenser bolts and position the A/C condenser aside.

  15. Detach the 2 lower radiator air deflector clips from the radiator.

  16. Remove the radiator and, if necessary, the 2 upper and 2 lower radiator insulators.
