Coolant Inlet Pipe - 3.5L, 3.7L: Installation

NOTE: The engine cooling system is filled with Motorcraft® Orange Antifreeze/Coolant. Do not mix coolant types. Mixing coolant types degrades the corrosion protection of the coolant.

NOTE: Apply clean engine coolant to the O-ring seal prior to installation.

NOTE: The cylinder heads are removed for clarity.

Using a new O-ring seal, install the coolant inlet pipe.

Install the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to THERMOSTAT HOUSING - 3.5L, 3.7L .
Install the ACL and ACL outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING .
