Sony® and THX® Audio Systems

The Sony® and THX® audio systems provide theatre quality sound in the vehicle and receives HD Radio® channels. Audio signals are sent from the ACM to the audio Digital Signal Processing (DSP) module, which processes the audio signals and sends them to the speakers. The audio DSP module communicates via the I-CAN .
The audio DSP module determines the correct audio environment based on the audio signals it receives and on the information it receives from other audio system modules via the I-CAN . These messages include such information as fade/balance and speed sensitive volume settings.
