Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Lincoln MKX and 2014 Ford Edge. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the LH upper finish moulding and the right finish panel. For additional information, refer to the EDGE FLOOR CONSOLE FINISH PANELS .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector, and using a suitable tool (such as a dentist pick), release the tabs and remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver.
  3. NOTE: Replacement of the PATS  transceiver does not require the PATS  keys to be programmed into the Body Control Module (BCM) again.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
