Seat Track: Removal

NOTE: The airbag warning indicator illuminates when the correct RCM fuse is removed and the ignition switch is ON.

NOTE: The SRS must be fully operational and free of faults before releasing the vehicle to the customer.

NOTE: To install a new OCSM , refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM .

All seats

Remove the front seat backrest. Refer to SEAT BACKREST - FRONT .
Separate the seat wire harness main feed electrical connector(s) from the seat track brackets.
Disconnect the safety belt buckle switch electrical connector. Separate any retainers holding the wire harness or electrical connector to the seat track.
For a power seat, disconnect all the seat track motor electrical connectors and separate any retainers holding the wire harness or electrical connectors to the seat track.
Driver seat
Disconnect the seat track position sensor and separate any retainers holding the wire harness or electrical connectors to the seat track.
If equipped, disconnect the DSM electrical connectors and separate any retainers holding the wire harness to the seat track.
Passenger seat
Disconnect the OCS weight sensor bolt electrical connectors and detach any wire harness retainers from the seat track.
Disconnect the OCSM and detach any wire harness retainers from the seat track.
If equipped, disconnect the DCSM electrical connectors and detach any wire harness retainers from the seat track.
All seats
Separate any retainers holding the seat wire harness or electrical connectors to the seat track.
Remove the 4 seat track-to-cushion frame bolts and remove the seat track.
