Normal Operation

The adaptive cruise control system is enabled when the vehicle speed is set and the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM), which is a radar sensor unit, determines the distance and relative speed of the vehicle that is in the path of travel. The adaptive cruise control system has limited performance in rain and snow conditions. The radar sensor unit can be blocked or obstructed due to these types of weather conditions.
- DTC C1A67:97 (Forward Looking Sensor: Component Or System Operation Obstructed Or Blocked) - set by the C-CM as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the C-CM detects an obstruction or if the sensor is blocked. This DTC may also set when the C-CM does not see a vehicle or object on the road for an extended period.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- C-CM
- Blockage or obstruction
- Front bumper cover
