Wheel Knuckle: Installation

All vehicles 

1. NOTE: Tighten suspension bushing fasteners with the weight of the vehicle resting on the wheels and tires or incorrect clamp load and bushing damage may occur.

   Position the wheel knuckle assembly to the lower control arm and install the lower control arm outboard nut.

   • Tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
2. Install the 4 new wheel knuckle-to-trailing arm bolts and nuts.
   • Tighten to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft).
3. Install the new toe link outboard bolt and nut.
   • Tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
4. Install the 2 new upper control arm outboard bolts.
   • Tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
5. Install the new shock absorber lower bolt and nut.
   • Tighten to 225 Nm (166 lb-ft).
6. Position the parking brake cable and install the parking brake cable bracket bolt.
   • Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
7. Position the ABS  sensor and install the ABS  sensor bolt.
   • Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
8. Position the brake disc shield and install the 3 brake disc shield bolts.
   • Tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).

   AWD vehicles 

9. Remove the mechanic's wire from the halfshaft assembly.

   All vehicles 

10. Install the wheel hub and bearing assembly. For additional information, refer to Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub  .
