Upper Arm: Installation

NOTE: Do not tighten the bolt at this time.

Position the upper control arm assembly and loosely install the new upper control arm inboard bolt and nut.
Position the subframe.
Install the 2 new subframe rearward bolts.
- Tighten to 200 Nm (148 lb-ft).
Install the 2 new subframe forward bolts.
- Tighten to 200 Nm (148 lb-ft).
Remove the lifting table from under the rear subframe.
Install the 4 new front (2 each side) bushing brace-to-body bolts.
- Tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).
Install the 2 rear (1 each side) brake hose mounting bracket bolts.
- Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
Position a suitable jackstand under the lower control arm and raise the suspension.
Install the 2 new upper control arm outboard bolts.
- Tighten to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
Position the parking brake cable and install parking brake cable-to-wheel knuckle bracket bolt.
- Tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
Position the ABS sensor harness and connect the 2 ABS sensor harness clips to the upper control arm.
Position the ABS sensor and install the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) sensor bolt.
- Tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to WHEELS AND TIRES .
With the weight of the vehicle on the wheel and tire, tighten the new upper arm inboard bolt and nut to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
