Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The TR sensor provides a fixed frequency duty cycle to the TCM for each of the manual control lever positions (PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE and LOW). The TCM uses the TR sensor signal for LPC , shift scheduling and TCC operation. The TCM transmits TR data on the HS-CAN to the PCM and BCM for engine start and reverse lamp operation.

| P1702 | TR Sensor A Circuit Intermittent | TR sensor circuit open or short to ground. |
| P1705 | TR Sensor Not Indicating Park/Neutral During Self-Test | TR sensor misaligned or in wrong position during the self-test. |
| P1921 | TR Signal | The PCM has detected a TR signal duty cycle out of range. |
