Normal Operation

Under normal operation, power is supplied to the power window system, roof opening panel (if equipped) and power sliding rear window (if equipped) through Body Control Module (BCM) circuit breaker 48 (30A). Intermittent operation may be caused by a short to ground which temporarily causes the circuit breaker to open. Once open, all power windows will be inoperative until the circuit breaker cools and the contacts close again. Activating all window control switches (or if equipped, additional features such as power sliding window or roof opening panel) one at a time in both directions until the breaker opens may help in narrowing down the exact location of the short circuit if present.
