Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor - Primary Cooling System: Removal

- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Drain the engine primary cooling system. For additional information refer to ENGINE COOLING - DIESEL ENGINE .
- Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) electrical connector.
- Remove the ECT sensor.
NOTE:
Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls or the vehicle may be damaged.
