Fuel Rail: Installation

LH fuel rail 

  1. Install the LH fuel rail.
    • Hand start the 2 LH fuel rail bolts.
  2. Connect the 3 fuel charging wiring harness retainers to the LH fuel rail.
  3. Connect the fuel rail-to-fuel injection pump return tube fitting at the rear of the LH fuel rail.
  4. Connect the fuel rail pressure sensor electrical connector at the front of the LH fuel rail.
  5. Connect the fuel pressure control valve electrical connector at the rear of the LH fuel rail.
  6. Install the LH fuel injector supply tubes. For additional information, refer to FUEL INJECTOR SUPPLY TUBE .

    RH fuel rail 

  7. Install the RH fuel rail.
    • Hand start the 2 RH fuel rail bolts.
  8. Connect the 3 fuel charging wiring harness retainers to the RH fuel rail.
  9. Install the RH fuel injector supply tubes. For additional information, refer to FUEL INJECTOR SUPPLY TUBE .

    Both fuel rails 

  10. Install the fuel rail supply tube assembly. For additional information, refer to FUEL RAIL SUPPLY TUBE .
