Removal and Installation

Compressor-side compressor-to-condenser discharge line

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Both compressor-to-condenser discharge lines
Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) cover.
1. Release the 4 ACL cover clips.
2. Detach the wire harness clip.
3. Disconnect the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector.
4. Loosen the ACL outlet tube clamp.
5. Remove the ACL cover.

Remove the condenser inlet jumper line fitting and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
Compressor-side compressor-to-condenser discharge line
Remove the RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
Detach the wire harness retainer from the A/C compressor discharge fitting stud.

Remove the A/C compressor discharge fitting nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
Disconnect the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector.
Condenser-side compressor-to-condenser discharge line
Remove the radiator grille. For additional information, refer to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
Remove the A/C condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
Remove the condenser-side compressor-to-condenser discharge line.
Both compressor-to-condenser discharge lines
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new gasket seals and O-ring seals.
- Add the correct amount of clean PAG oil to the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to the Refrigerant Oil Adding procedure in CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
