Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the RH cowl side trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Disconnect the antenna.
    1. Disconnect the antenna-to-antenna lead-in cable electrical connector.
    2. Release the grommet.

  3. Remove the antenna mast.
  4. Remove the RH cowl vent grille. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  5. Using a suitable tool (such as a flat-bladed screwdriver), remove the antenna mast boot.
  6. Remove the 3 screws and the antenna.
    • Route the cable portion of the antenna through the hole where the grommet was located, and out of the vehicle through the cowl hole.
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
