Roof Opening Panel Frame: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. 1.

    NOTE: The air deflector must be installed with the roof opening panel in the open position.

    If replacing the roof opening panel frame, remove the air deflector. REFER to: Air Deflector .

  1. 2.

    Remove the roof opening panel glass. REFER to: Roof Opening Panel Glass .

  1. 3.

    Fully open the roof opening panel shield.

  1. 4.

    Remove the headliner. REFER to: Headliner - SuperCrew .

  1. 5.

    Remove both side curtain airbags. REFER to: Side Curtain Airbag - SuperCrew .

  1. 6.

    Disconnect the antenna electrical connector and detach the pin-type retainer.

  1. 7.

    Disconnect the front drain tubes.

  1. 8.

    Remove the bolts, detach the pin-type retainers and remove the front beam.

    Torque

    : 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

  1. 9.

    Disconnect the rear drain tubes and the roof opening panel motor electrical connectors.

  1. 10.

    Fold the rear seat cushions upward.

  1. 11.

    With the aid of an assistant, remove the bolts and remove the roof opening panel frame from the LH rear door opening.

    Torque

    : 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
