Rear Seat Latch: Removal

   Remove the rear seat. Refer to: Rear Seat RH - SuperCab . Refer to: Rear Seat LH - SuperCab . Refer to: Rear Seat RH - SuperCrew . Refer to: Rear Seat LH - SuperCrew .

   NOTE: Cushion cover and foam pad removed for clarity.

   Remove the seat latch handle.

   1. 1.
      
      Using an interior trim tool, remove the cushion latch handle bezel from the cushion.

   1. 2.
      
      Remove the fasteners located behind the cushion latch handle.

   NOTE: Use care when separating the seat cushion cover from the hook-and-loop strip or the hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the foam pad.

   Open the outboard side of the cushion cover.

      Release the cushion lower J-clip.

   1. 2.
      
      Release the hook-and-loop strip.

   1. 3.
      
      Unzip and open the outboard side of the cushion cover.

   Remove the latch assembly.

   1. 1.
      
      Rotate the latch cable end to align with the slot in the lever and pull the cable end through the slot.

   1. 2.
      
      Press in on the cable retainer to release it from the cushion frame.

   1. 3.
      
      Remove the latch from the cushion frame.

Vehicles with inflatable safety belts 

1. 5.
   
   Remove the lower anchor bolt cover.

   Remove the anchor bolt and separate the upper safety belt from the lower safety belt.

   Torque

   : 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

1. 7.
   
   Remove the lower safety belt retractor cover and the upper side shield.

   1. 1.
      
      From behind the cover, remove the fasteners.

   1. 2.
      
      Slide the retractor cover forward and remove.

   1. 3.
      
      Slide the lower safety belt through the cover.

   1. 4.
      
      Remove the upper side shield and fastener.

Vehicles without inflatable belts

   Remove the outboard side shield fastener and remove the side shield.

   Remove the outboard safety belt retractor-to-seat fastener.

   Torque

   : 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

All vehicles 

1. 10.
   
   Release the outboard riser and pivot fasteners. Remove the outboard riser.

   Torque

   : 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)

   Remove the fastener and the cushion latch assembly.

   Torque

   : 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
