Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor: Installation

First installation of updated seat backrest blower motor with snorkel

   NOTE: Do not cut the stitched seam at the lower edge of the seat backrest cover or damage to the cover will occur.

   With the backrest cover positioned upward, using scissors or suitable tool remove the indicated portion of the backrest cover foam spacer pad as shown.

   Using a scale or suitable measuring device, mark the center of both backrest cover lower J-clips.

   Using a scale or suitable measuring device, measure and mark from each side of the center mark of both backrest cover lower J-clips.

   Dimension

   : 2.36 in (60 mm)

   Using a scale or suitable measuring device, measure and mark from the lower edge of the backrest cover lower J-clips.

   Dimension

   : 0.39 in (10 mm)

   Using side cutters or suitable tool, remove the J-clip section between the marks of both backrest cover lower J-clips.

   To install, reverse the removal procedure.

   Repower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Repowering .
