Muffler and Tailpipe: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2.

Loosen the clamp.
Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

Release the locator tab out of the muffler inlet pipe.

Slide the muffler and tailpipe rearward out of the isolators and then forward to remove.
