Transmission Fluid Cooler Supply Tube - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT: Installation

Vehicles with an auxiliary cooler

1.

Install the transmission fluid cooler supply tube and position the clamp.

2.

Install the supply tube bracket bolt.
Torque

: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

Vehicles without an auxiliary cooler

3.

Install the transmission fluid cooler supply tube and position the clamp.

4.

Install the supply and return tube bracket bolt.
Torque

: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

All vehicles

5.

Install the LH air deflector and the pushpins.

6.

Install the radiator site shield and the pushpins.

7.

Install the LH headlamp assembly. REFER to: Headlamp Assembly .

8.

Inspect and lubricate the band seals and backing rings. Install new band seals and backing rings if necessary.

9.

Connect the transmission fluid cooler supply tube to the cooler bypass valve, rotate the bracket and install the bolt.
Torque

: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Check and fill the transmission fluid as necessary. REFER to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
