Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) Oil Control Solenoid: Removal

RH (right-hand) Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) Oil Control Solenoids

1.

Remove the RH valve cover. REFER to: VALVE COVER RH - 3.5L Duratec (209kW/284PS).

2.

Remove the bolts and the VCT oil control solenoids.
Torque:

Stage 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Stage 2: 20°

Remove the LH valve cover. REFER to: VALVE COVER LH - 3.5L Duratec (209kW/284PS).

4.

Remove the bolts and the VCT oil control solenoids.
Torque:

Stage 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Stage 2: 20°
