P2183 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE
| Description: This DTC indicates that an secondary cooling system engine coolant temperature 2 (ECT2) sensor range performance concern has been detected. The DTC sets when the vehicle has been driven above 1, 250 RPM without the secondary cooling system ECT2 sensor signal increasing above 70°C (158°F). The time to set the concern depends on the secondary cooling system and intake air temperatures and can vary between 20 and 60 minutes. | |||

| Diagnostic Aids:
The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. Make sure the intake air and secondary cooling system temperatures are similar when the engine is cold. Also make sure the secondary cooling system ECT2 sensor and the actual engine operating temperatures are the same. |
