P054E - Idle Control System - Fuel Quantity Lower Than Expected

P054E - IDLE CONTROL SYSTEM - FUEL QUANTITY LOWER THAN EXPECTED

Description:  When the powertrain control module (PCM) detects the fuel quantity needed for idle control is greater than 30% lower than lowest expected fuel rate, this DTC sets.
Possible Causes: 
  • Intake air leak after the throttle body
  • Vacuum leaks
  • Damaged intake throttle actuator
Diagnostic Aids:  The fuel pressure in the high pressure fuel system can be monitored by accessing the FRP_A PID on the scan tool.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory
