P0403 - Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR) Control Circuit

P0403 - EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) CONTROL CIRCUIT

Description:  This DTC sets when the PCM detects an EGR control circuit concern.
Possible Causes: 
  • EGRVCL circuit short to ground
  • EGRVCH circuit short to ground
  • EGRVCL circuit short to voltage
  • EGRVCH circuit short to voltage
  • EGRVCL circuit open
  • EGRVCH circuit open
  • Damaged EGR valve
Diagnostic Aids:  The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST W .
