P0299 - Turbocharger/Supercharger A UNDERBOOST Condition

P0299 - TURBOCHARGER/SUPERCHARGER A UNDERBOOST CONDITION

Description:  This DTC sets if the PCM detects that the control effort to maintain the desired boost pressure is 10% greater than the calibrated threshold.
Possible Causes: 
  • Wastegate stuck open
  • Incorrect wastegate adjustment
  • Turbocharger vanes sticking
  • Air leak between turbocharger and throttle
  • Charge air cooler (CAC) restriction
Diagnostic Aids:  The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power.
Check tubing for obstructions, cracks and incorrect fitting connections.
Check the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve solenoid for correct operation.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST KA .
