P0193 - FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT HIGH

Description: The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the fuel rail pressure (FRP) sensor input to determine if the FRP signal is within an expected range. The test fails when FRP voltage is higher than expected.
Possible Causes: FRP circuit open in the harness FRP circuit short to voltage in the harness FRP circuit short to VREF in the harness SIGRTN circuit open in the harness VREF circuit open in the harness VREF circuit short to SIGRTN in the harness VREF circuit short to ground in the harness Damaged FRP sensor connection Damaged FRP sensor
Diagnostic Aids: The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. Verify the VREF voltage at the FRP sensor is between 4 and 6 volts with the ignition ON, engine OFF.
