P0183 - Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit High

P0183 - FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT HIGH

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the fuel rail temperature (FRT) sensor input to determine if the FRT sensor signal is within an expected range. The test fails when FRT voltage is higher than expected.
Possible Causes: 
  • FRT circuit open in the harness
  • FRT circuit short to voltage in the harness
  • Damaged FRT sensor connection
  • Damaged FRT sensor
Diagnostic Aids:  Monitor the FRT voltage and temperature PIDs on a scan tool to isolate an open or short circuit from the system concern.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST MC .
