Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Installation

1.

Inspect and replace any ignition coil-on-plugs that have rubber boots with cracks, rips or tears.

- 1.
  
  Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.
- 2.
  
  Install and tighten the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.
  Torque
  
  : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

- 1.
  
  Push the wire harness side connector onto the ignition coil-on-plug connector until locked. A clicking sound will be heard when fully seated. Slide the red locking tab (CPA) toward the ignition coil-on-plug until a second clicking sound is heard.
- 2.
  
  Attach the RH ignition coil-on-plug harness retainer to the valve cover studbolt.
- 3.
  
  Attach the RH ignition coil-on-plug harness retainers to the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.
- 4.
  
  Connect the RH CMP sensor electrical connectors.

  Push the wire harness side connector onto the ignition coil-on-plug connector until locked. A clicking sound will be heard when fully seated. Slide the red locking tab (CPA) toward the ignition coil-on-plug until a second clicking sound is heard.
- 2.
  
  Attach the LH ignition coil-on-plug harness retainers to the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts.

5.

Install the engine appearance cover and then install and tighten the engine appearance cover retainers.
Torque

: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
