Coolant Pump: Installation

  1. Install a new gasket on the coolant pump.
  2. Position the coolant pump and install the 12 small bolts. Tighten the bolts evenly.
    • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  3. Install the 6 large bolts.
    • Tighten to 24 Nm (18 lb-ft).
  4. Position the battery cable bracket and install the 2 bolts.
    • Tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  5. Install the power steering pressure hose bracket screw.
    • Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
  6. Connect the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connector and attach the 3 wiring harness retainers.
  7. Position the cooling fan stator and install the 4 nuts.
    • Tighten to 17 Nm (150 lb-in).
  8. Install the cooling fan drive assembly. For additional information, refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE .
    9. NOTE: Evaluate the cooling system condition before filling the cooling system. Failure to follow these instructions can damage the engine.
