Turbocharger RH: Installation
- 2. NOTE: Apply high temperature nickel anti-seize lubricant to the turbocharger exhaust flange studbolt threads prior to installation of the turbocharger exhaust flange.
Install the turbocharger exhaust flange and the new turbocharger exhaust flange studbolts. Tighten the new turbocharger exhaust flange studbolts.

Torque
: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Inspect the turbocharger coolant supply tube-to-engine block fitting and replace as needed.Torque
: 37 lb.ft (50 Nm)
- 5.
Inspect the turbocharger coolant tube-to-turbocharger fittings and replace as needed.Tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
- 6.
Place the turbocharger in the vehicle. Connect the turbocharger coolant tube to the turbocharger fitting.
- 7. NOTE: Align catalytic converter pipe flange to the turbocharger adapter while installing the turbocharger.
Install the new turbocharger mounting bolts, install the turbocharger coolant supply tube to the engine block fitting while installing the turbocharger.
Torque
: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
- 9. NOTE: Install the turbocharger oil tube manifold assembly upper bolts finger tight at the turbocharger oil tube manifold assembly. Tighten in the sequence shown.

Tighten the outer turbocharger oil tube manifold bolt.Torque
: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- 2.
Tighten the inner turbocharger oil tube manifold bolt.Torque:
Stage 1: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Stage 2: 30°
- 3.
Tighten the outer turbocharger oil tube manifold bolt.Torque:
Stage 1: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Stage 2: 30°

Install, then tighten the turbocharger coolant supply tube and turbocharger oil feed tube retaining bolt.Torque:
Stage 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
Stage 2: 30°
- 12.
Inspect the turbocharger coolant return tube fittings and replace as needed.Torque
: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- 15.
Install the A/C compressor, install and tighten the A/C compressor mounting bolts.Torque
: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- 16.
Position back the CAC tube bracket, then install and tighten the CAC tube bracket nuts.Torque
: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
- 17.
Install the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor belt. REFER to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) COMPRESSOR BELT .
- 18.
Install the turbocharger outlet pipe and attach to the bracket. Tighten the turbocharger outlet pipe clamps and connect the turbocharger outlet pipe hose.Torque
: 48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
- 19.
Install the turbocharger inlet pipe and attach to the bracket. Tighten the turbocharger inlet pipe clamp.Torque
: 48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
- 21.
Connect the battery positive cable. REFER to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- 22.
Install the RHF fender splash shield. REFER to: Fender Splash Shield .
- 23.
Install the RHF wheel and tire. REFER to: Wheel and Tire .
- 24.
If equipped, install the skid plate or splash shield, then install and tighten the bolts.Torque
: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- 25.
If equipped, install the transmission housing cover, then install and tighten the retainers.Torque
: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- 26.
Fill the cooling system. REFER to: COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING AND VACUUM FILLING .
- 27.
Install the air cleaner outlet pipe. REFER to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
