Coolant Pump: Removal

1.

Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to: Thermostat Housing .

2.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. REFER to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .

3.

Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.

4.

Remove the accessory drive belt. REFER to: ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT .

5.

NOTE: Cover the A/C compressor belt to prevent coolant contamination of the belt.

Completely cover the A/C compressor belt with waterproof plastic.

6.

Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.

Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.

8.

Remove and discard the coolant pump gasket and O-ring seal.
