Removal And Installation: Radiator: Removal

All Vehicles
- 1.
Drain the cooling system. REFER to: Cooling System Draining and Vacuum Filling .
- 2.
Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. REFER to: Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud .
- 4.
Pull the lower radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
Vehicles without an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler
- 6.
Remove the radiator grille. REFER to: Radiator Grille .
- 7.
Remove the RH and LH radiator side air deflector pin-type retainers and the radiator side air deflectors.
- 8.
Release the clamps and disconnect the transmission fluid cooler hoses.Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- 9.NOTE: Components not shown for clarity.
Remove the radiator retainers and tilt cooling module backwards.
Torque
: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
- 10.NOTE: Components not shown for clarity.
Remove the condenser retainers.
Torque
: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Release the tab and position the condenser upward to separate the condenser from the radiator.
Vehicles with an Auxiliary Transmission Cooler
- 13.
Remove the radiator grille. REFER to: Radiator Grille .
- 14.
Release the clamps and disconnect the transmission cooler hoses.Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- 16.
Remove RH and LH radiator side air deflector pin-type retainers and the radiator side air deflectors.
