Coolant Outlet Connector: Removal

1.

Remove the fuel rails. REFER to: FUEL RAIL .

2.

Remove the coolant pump. REFER to: Coolant Pump .

3.

Release the clamp and disconnect the coolant hose. Remove the knock sensor harness retainer from the fastener stud.

4.

Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses. Remove the fasteners and the coolant outlet connector and inlet pipe assembly.

5.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the coolant hose clamp and the coolant hose inlet pipe prior to removal.

NOTE: DO NOT discard the coolant hose metal sleeve.

Release the hose clamp and remove the coolant hose and coolant inlet pipe assembly.

6.

Inspect the coolant outlet connector O-ring and replace if necessary.
