Oil Pump: Removal

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2.

Remove the timing chains. Refer to: Timing Chain .

3.

Remove the crankshaft sprocket.

Remove the oil pan. Refer to: Oil Pan .

5.

Remove the bolts and the oil pump screen and pickup tube.
- Discard the O-ring seal.

6.

Remove the bolts, stud bolts and the oil pump.
