Intake Manifold: Installation

NOTE:
If the engine is repaired or replaced because of upper engine failure, typically including valve or piston damage, check the intake manifold for metal debris. If metal debris if found, install a new intake manifold. Failure to follow these instructions can result in engine damage.

Position the intake manifold onto the engine.- Attach the wiring harness retainers.
- Connect the wiring harness electrical connectors.
- 3.
- Position the manifold to the installed position.
- Tighten the intake manifold bolts.
Torque:
Stage 1: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
Stage 2: 35°

Connect the fuel injector electrical connectors.

Connect the fuel tube. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .

Attach the retainers to the fuel tube.

Connect the EVAP canister purge valve tube. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .
- Connect the EVAP canister purge valve electrical connector.

Connect the brake booster vacuum supply tube coupling. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .

Attach the vacuum tube retainer.
- 3.
If equipped, connect the vacuum hose.

Install the PCV tube and connect the quick release couplings. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .
- 11.
Install the following items:- Refer to: THROTTLE BODY .
- Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
- 12.
Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
