Engine Mount RH: Removal

NOTE:
Discard all engine mount fasteners and install new fasteners.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- 5.
Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- 7.
Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .
- 8.
Disconnect the electrical connector and the wire retainer. Disconnect the quick connect coupling. Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE

Disconnect the PCV pressure sensor electrical connector.
- 2.
Remove the PCV tube. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING

Disconnect the quick connect couplings and the turbocharger bypass tube. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING .
- 12.
Loosen the clamp at the turbocharger. Disconnect the turbocharger inlet tube from the grommet and remove the turbocharger inlet tube.
- 14.
Loosen the clamps. Disconnect the turbocharger outlet tube from the bracket grommet and remove the turbocharger outlet tube.
- 15.
Disconnect the battery positive cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- 17.
Loosen the clamp at the turbocharger. Disconnect the turbocharger inlet tube from the grommet and remove the turbocharger inlet tube.
- 18.
- Disconnect the turbocharger outlet tube hose.
- Loosen the clamps. Disconnect the turbocharger outlet tube from the bracket grommet and remove the turbocharger outlet tube.
- 20.
Remove the following items:- Remove the intake manifold. Refer to: Intake Manifold .
- Remove the high-pressure fuel pump. Refer to: HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP .
- 22.NOTE: Use a commercially available quick link on the right side between the lifting eye and the engine spreader bar.
Install the special tools. Install Special Service Tool: 303-F070 Support Bar, Engine., 303-1246 Engine Spreader Bar.
- 24.NOTE: Vehicles come with an underbody shield or a skid plate.
- If equipped, remove the pin-type retainers.
- Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.
- 25.NOTE: Vehicles come with an underbody shield or a skid plate.
If equipped, remove the bolts and the skid plate.
- 26.
If equipped, remove the front driveshaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .
- 27.NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
Remove and discard the LH catalytic converter flange nuts.
- 28.NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
Remove and discard the RH catalytic converter flange nuts.
- 29.
- Remove the exhaust flange bolts and separate the pipe. Discard the bolts.
NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.NOTE: Support the exhaust intermediate pipe prior to removing the bolts or damage to the flex pipe may occur.- Position the catalytic converter assembly back.
- 30.NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.
Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.
- 31.
Remove the following items:- Remove the starter. Refer to: STARTER MOTOR
- Remove the A/C belt. Refer to: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) COMPRESSOR BELT .
- 33.NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Remove and discard the RH engine mount through bolt.
- 34.NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Remove and discard the LH engine mount through bolt.
- 35.NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening or tightening the engine mount nuts and studs or damage to the engine mount can occur.NOTE: The engine mount studs may come off with the nuts.
Remove and discard the engine mount nuts. Remove the engine mount studs.
