Engine Mount RH: Removal

1. 1.
   
   With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

   Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

1. 3.
   
   Remove the following items:
   • Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE RH .
   • Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE LH .
   • RH CAC intake pipe. Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER (CAC) INTAKE PIPE
   • Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER (CAC) OUTLET PIPE .

   If equipped, remove the fasteners and the underbody shield.

   If equipped, remove the bolts and the skid plate.

   Remove the following items:
   • Refer to: STARTING SYSTEM .
   • Refer to: ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT

      Remove the pin-type retainer.

      Remove the bolt and ground wire.

   Remove the following items:
   • RH wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
   • RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .

   Remove the bolts and position the A/C compressor aside.

   NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

   Remove and discard the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolts and separate.

   NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.

   Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.

   Remove the front drive shaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .

   Remove and discard the stabilizer bar bracket nuts.
   • Allow the stabilizer bar to swing downward.

   NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.

   Remove and discard the LH engine mount through bolt.

   NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the engine mount nuts, stud bolts or damage to the engine mount can occur.

   Remove and discard the RH engine mount nuts.

   • Remove the studs.

      Position an adjustable stand under the rear of the engine. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands

      Raise the engine 50 mm (2 in).

   Remove and discard the engine mount bracket-to-engine bolts.

   1. 1.
      
      Remove the engine mount and bracket as an assembly.

   1. 2.
      
      Clean the engine mount bracket-to-cylinder block and engine mount-to-frame mating surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.
