Exterior Lighting - Overview: Headlamps

The headlamp system consists of:
- Headlamp assemblies
- Ballasts (LED headlamps)
- Headlamp switch
- LH steering column multifunction switch
- BCM
- SCCM
- IPMA
For halogen headlamps, the headlamp system is a quad-beam pattern system. It consists of replaceable low and high beam bulbs in each headlamp assembly. The side marker lamp and front turn/parking lamps are integrated into the headlamp assembly.
For LED headlamps, the headlamp system is a quad-beam pattern system. It consists of replaceable low and high beam LED assemblies in each headlamp assembly. The front park/turn surround Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and front turn Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) are integrated into the headlamp assembly.
