Rear Disc Brake Shield: Removal

All vehicles

1.

Remove the axle shaft. Refer to: Axle Shaft - Vehicles With: Ford 8.8 Inch Ring Gear. Refer to: Axle Shaft - Vehicles With: Ford 9.75 Inch Ring Gear.

Vehicles without electronic parking brake (EPB)

Remove the parking brake shoes. Refer to: Parking Brake Shoes .

3.

Remove the 3 bolts and the brake disc shield.
Torque

: 124 lb.in (14 Nm)

Remove the 3 bolts and the brake disc shield.
Torque

: 155 lb.in (17.5 Nm)
