Front Brake Flexible Hose: Removal

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

All vehicles

1.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the brake hose. Discard the washers.
Torque

: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

Front wheel drive (FWD) vehicles

- 1.
  
  Unclip the wheel speed sensor harness from the brake hose.
- 2.
  
  Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring retainer.
- 3.
  
  Disconnect the brake tube fitting.
  Torque
  
  : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- 4.
  
  Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.
  Torque
  
  : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- 5.
  
  Remove the brake hose bracket bolt and the brake hose.
  Torque
  
  : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Four wheel drive (4x4) vehicles

- 1.
  
  Unclip the wheel speed sensor harness from the brake hose.
- 2.
  
  Detach the vacuum hose retainers and the wheel speed sensor harness retainer.
- 3.
  
  Disconnect the brake tube fitting.
  Torque
  
  : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- 4.
  
  Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.
  Torque
  
  : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- 5.
  
  Remove the brake hose bracket bolt and the brake hose.
  Torque
  
  : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
