Rear Wheel Bearing: Removal

Remove the axle shaft. Refer to: Axle Shaft .

NOTE: If the axle shaft seal is leaking, the axle housing vent mat be plugged with foreign material.

NOTE: Use care to avoid damaging the axle shaft seal bore.

Using a flat-bladed screwdriver remove and discard the axle shaft seal. Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver

Using the special tool and a slide hammer, remove and discard the rear wheel bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 205-193 (T83T-1225-A) Remover, Axle Bearing. Use the General Equipment: Slide Hammer
