Differential Housing Cover: Installation

  1. 1.

    Apply a new, continuous 2-3mm bead of sealant to the differential housing cover as shown below.

    Material

    : Silicone Sealant (WSS-M4G323-A8)

    NOTE: The differential housing cover must be installed within 15 minutes of application of the silicone, or new sealant must be applied. If possible, allow one hour before filling with lubricant to make sure the silicone sealant has correctly cured.

    Install the differential housing cover and the differential housing cover bolts and the differential housing cover stud bolts.

    Torque

    : 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)

  1. 3.

    Attach the ABS harness fasteners to the differential housing cover stud bolts.

    Fill the differential with fluid. Refer to: Differential Fluid Level Check .
