Axle Shaft: Removal

1.

Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheels and Tires .

2.

Remove the rear brake disc. Refer to: Brake Disc .

3.

Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt and position aside the wheel speed sensor.
Torque

: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Remove the differential housing cover. Refer to: Differential Housing Cover .

  Remove and discard the differential pinion shaft locking bolt.
  Torque
  
  : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  Remove the differential pinion shaft.

  Slide the axle shaft inward.

  Remove the axle shaft retaining washer.
